The curriculum used at St. Catherine of Siena School is provided by the Archdiocese of Denver Office of Catholic Schools, an accredited school system in the United States through AdvancEd, which sets educational standards of excellence around the globe.
The standards and benchmarks of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools include and exceed those issued by the Colorado Department of Education for the public school systems of Colorado. We believe Catholic education addresses the development of the whole person through spiritual and academic formation based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We serve students from preschool - 8th grade and we have recently come under new leadership. The mission of Catholic education provides a particular environment for the New Evangelization by presenting the Gospel anew within the school and parish communities. We also teach our students the importance of serving those in need.
St. Catherine of Siena School, we strive to instill and cultivate a lifelong moral compass that transcends time through Catholic teaching, servant leadership, daily witness and loving example all in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. The following are some highlights of our school:
- St. Catherine of Siena students attend Mass every Tuesday and Friday.
- Religion is taught on a daily basis by qualified Catholic teachers
- First Eucharist and First Reconciliation preparation is done in second grade
- Sacrament of Confirmation is currently received in eighth grade
- The student body participates in school wide prayer services and Masses throughout the year
- Sixth grade students attend the Focus 11 Vocations Awareness Day
- Eighth graders attend the Archdiocesan schools’ Chastity Rally
